Sekhar Palanisamy
Business & Executive Coach · Founder, BStrat
17 years at Dell Technologies as Director. USPTO patent holder. ICF Certified Coach. Author. He's built 8 companies across India and the US and coached 350+ business owners. He doesn't just teach growth — he's lived every version of it, including the failures.

From entry-level engineer to Director — then back to building.
Sekhar joined Dell Technologies at entry level and rose to Director over the following years — leading large global teams across supply chain, logistics and technology operations, managing multi-million-dollar budgets, and delivering more than $50M in documented cost savings along the way. He holds a USPTO patent in machine learning and AI from his time driving digital transformation at scale, and won the TSIA Star Award for Services Excellence.
Alongside his corporate career, Sekhar built and exited 8 companies of his own — across manufacturing, real estate, construction and education, in both India and the US. He's made the payroll call on a bad month, hired the wrong person and had to undo it, and sat across the table from a partner exit that wasn't easy. That range — corporate operator and hands-on founder — is what he brings into every coaching room.

Sekhar presenting at a business conference
After 17 years and $50M+ in documented cost savings, Sekhar stepped away from the corporate track to dedicate his full attention to coaching — building BStrat into a practice that now spans the US and India. He's ICF-certified (ACC), PMP-certified, and has completed executive education at Wharton, Harvard, Stanford and IIM Bangalore. He's an alumnus of PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore, and serves as a Trustee at Aksharam International School.
He's the author of The Inertia Trap, a book on why capable businesses plateau — and has been recognised among the executive coaches shaping the field going into 2026.
I've been the founder who couldn't step away, the executive who had to restructure a large global team, and the entrepreneur who failed more times than I can count. That's what I bring to every coaching relationship.

A coach who has actually run businesses here.
Sekhar splits his time between the US and India, and has built and operated businesses in both markets — manufacturing in Tamil Nadu, real estate and construction across South India, and technology operations in the US.
When he works with an Indian founder, he's not translating a Silicon Valley playbook. He's drawing on decisions he's actually made in the same regulatory, family-business and market conditions you're operating in — from Coimbatore to Chennai, Bengaluru, Pune and Dehradun.
I've been the founder who couldn't step away, the executive who had to restructure a large global team, and the entrepreneur who failed more times than I can count. That's what I bring to every coaching relationship.
